alwert. GmbH & Co. KG is a research-oriented development and consulting company. Since 2003, we have supported organisations in making knowledge systematically usable, developing it strategically and integrating it effectively into processes, technologies and capabilities.
The focus of our work lies on demanding initiatives at the interface of strategy, knowledge management and organisational implementation.
Our work combines project experience, research, method development and qualification. This does not result in off-the-shelf solutions, but in approaches that are professionally grounded and have to prove themselves in day-to-day work. This combination shapes our services just as much as our practical projects, resources and teaching activities.
Founder
Dr.-Ing. Kay Alwert is founder and managing partner of alwert. GmbH & Co. KG. After his studies and several years in medium-sized companies, he worked at Fraunhofer IPK in Berlin from 2001 to 2006. There he worked on process and knowledge management as well as on the assessment, management and communication of knowledge and intellectual capital, and completed his doctorate in 2005.
Since then, he has combined consulting, development, research and teaching in an approach that links scientific grounding with practical feasibility. He has extensive experience in medium-sized companies as well as in corporations and public institutions.
In addition to his consulting work, he has been involved in the development of central methods of knowledge management, including the German Method for Intellectual Capital Management as well as process-oriented knowledge management. He also teaches in master's programmes both at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland (Austria) and at Leipzig University (Germany).
Network and collaboration
For many initiatives, we work together with selected partners from academia, continuing education and practice. These include, among others, FH Potsdam, Fraunhofer IPK, IAC GmbH and other professionally related partners and networks. In this way, our work remains connected to current developments while staying close to practical implementation.
